  • MSBA Board of Governors Approves New Committee
    The MSBA has recently approved the establishment of a committee to serve the Asian American Bar. The Asian-American Bar Committee's mission is: "to raise the standard of legal services provided to Maryland's Asian-American Community." The committee is now seeking new members and encourages participation from lawyers who have an interest in supporting its mission. Please note that this call for committee members is not limited to lawyers who are of Asian descent.

  • Sr Corporate Counsel
    Dynegy Inc. provides electricity, natural gas and natural gas liquids to customers throughout the United States. Through its energy businesses, the company owns and operates a diverse portfolio of assets, including power plants totaling more than 12,700 megawatts of net generating capacity, gas processing plants that process approximately 1.8 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day and nearly 38,000 miles of electric transmission and distribution lines. We are currently looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel in Houston, Texas.

    Job Description:
    Essential Functions include physical requirements · Experienced attorney in the Midstream Business Segment, which includes Gas Processing, Gas Gathering, Gas Transportation, NGL Gathering and Transportation, Fractionation, NGL Storage, NGL Marketing and NGL Trading.

    Job Requirements, Minimum Essential Requirements: in priority order · JD degree · 5+ years experience in Natural Gas Liquids business or 10+ years exploration and production experience.

  • Corporate/Finance - Immediate need for an associate to work in the Corporate Section of the Baltimore office. In addition to 2-3 years of general corporate experience, candidates should have experience in financing transactions. Must have outstanding academic credentials and writing skills.
     
  • Litigation/Community Associations - The Washington, D.C. office of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston is seeking an associate with 3-5 years experience. Some litigation experience required. Preference given to candidates with a background in non-profit, trade or community associations. The position requires all candidates be admitted to practice in Virginia. Admission in D.C. preferred, but not required.
     
  • Health Care - Immediate need for an associate to work in the Health Care Section of the Firm's Baltimore, Maryland office. The position requires excellent academic credentials, and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
     
  • Intellectual Property - The Intellectual Property Group is seeking an attorney to work in the firm’s Baltimore office. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 to 6 years of IP contracting experience, with a strong focus on software development, distribution and transfer. Experience with international technology transfer, export control, and open source software matters is highly preferred. Responsibilities will include client counseling, contract preparation and negotiations and related intellectual property and business matters. Candidates should also have excellent academic credentials and superior writing and communication skills.
